Summary:
To give a general overview of the main methods of social research
in the mental health area, looking to encourage and provide tools
to professionals doing academic investigations and providing services.
Research methods covered: evaluation of services and user satisfaction;
carrying out surveys and organizing data bases; research reporting
and case studies.
Research tools and a specific bibliography to be supplied.
Objectives:
- To reflect upon the elements that form mental health, delving
into theoretical aspects, teaching strategies, and impasses;
- To consider the epistemological and policy relationships between
mental health and public health.
