Summary:
General Objective:
Widen understanding in regard to using information and its technologies
for the administration of health organizations and regulatory assistance
for regionalized and hierarchical health care systems, contributing
to an increase in governance capacity for the practice and policy
of public health.
Specific objectives:
- To analyze the current use of information systems in health care
regulatory assistance and experiments now in progress in Brazil.
- To identify the primary information systems necessary for the
practice of health administration.
- To debate the construction of the Information Environment for
the Support of the Health Decision Making Process.
- To consider the implications for the utilization of information
in the administration of health organizations, especially hospitals.
- To question the relationship between private business and public
sector interests in the development of “computerized solutions”.
