Summary:
The course proposes, exploiting a theoretical-practical dynamic,
to offer help in the understanding of bioethics, with ethics embedded
in it, and to equip participants to be able to reflect on the aspects
of their actions; in teaching and research in the fields of Social
and Human Health Science. Approaches the fundamentals of bioethics.
Objectives:
- Promote reflection on themes such as: respect for the individual,
privacy and confidentiality, decision making, patient-provider relationships,
interdisciplinary issues, resources allocation, and the participation
of Social and Human Science professionals in the Research Ethics
Committee and the Clinical Bioethics Commission.
- Propitiate bases for ethics to be included in professional practice,
in teaching and research in Social Sciences and Human Health, and
to discuss justifications and adaptations adopted in this area.
- Deepen the understanding, the abilities, and the values connected
to the discussion of these conditions.
- Prepare the participants for active involvement in the Research
Ethics Committee and the Clinical Bioethics Commission.
