Summary:
The course objectifies theoretical grants, enabling participants
to reflect on the processes involved in the social components of
health and sickness, emphasizing gender perspective.
It also seeks an approach to:
- The inter-connections between gender, sexuality, and reproduction,
in the context of research and health care.
- The understanding of certain profiles of morbidity and mortality
from a gender point of view.
- The impacts of gender perspective on the formulation of public
policy and on the re-orientation of attendance practices.
- The contribution of gender perspective to health evaluation practices.
- The importance of health services in the perpetuation or reversal
of social and gender inequities.
