Coordinators:
Fátima Sueli Neto Ribeiro, Luis Cláudio Meirelles.

Institution:
UERJ, ABRASCO Health Labor Workgroup and ANVISA.

Maximum number of participants:
30

Summary:
While the process of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of occupational diseases is of utmost importance in Brazil, the SUS now is facilitating great advances and the implSummarytion of new levels of inspection that are superior to the practices of isolated professionals. These include the institutional competitive methods of investigation and handover actions with the public that promote good citizenship.
In this way, from the analytical perspective of national and international writers it will be discussed a new socially-aware, multi-institutional Worker Health Program that viabalizes inter-disciplinary action. This change in practice still clashes with the current scope and limitation of useful information in the heath-illness process, mainly in the technical area with a strong epidemiological component.
Objective:
- Discuss a new perspective of Worker Community Health that encompasses new, systematic, interventions in the health-illness process that enable scientific monitoring to aid in prevention/anticipation of illness.

Foreigners guests:
Oscar Bettancourt (Ecuador)
Jorge Kohen (Rosario- Argentina.
